Pura Vida, meaning pure life, is located on a private, mountaintop estate that spans more than 8 acres at 4,900 feet above sea level surrounded by coffee plantations overlooking Costa Rica’s Central Valley. Volcanic hills, lakes, and plummeting waterfalls shape the lush, vibrant landscape. It’s just 20 minutes from the San Jose Airport and boasts spring-like temperatures year-round with warm days (70s-80s F) and mild nights (60s F).
This vacation retreat is designed for proactive participation in our own health and wellness and gives you an opportunity to engage in powerful evidence-based energy and health enhancement practices. You'll be surrounded by a natural paradise setting while relaxing and unplugging from our normal busy lives and technology.

Getting to and from Pura Vida – it’s easy!
It's an easy trip especially if you are traveling alone. Pura Vida Retreat & Spa is just 20 minutes from the San Jose Airport (SJO) and 45 minutes from downtown San Jose. Pura Vida’s staff will be at the airport when you arrive to pick you up and take you directly to the retreat center. Airport Shuttles are pre-paid with your retreat package.

Cancellation Policy
If for any reason you need to cancel up to one month before the Final Balance Due date of 7-15-23, you may transfer your Initial Deposit paid (minus a $350 Cancellation Fee) to our next scheduled retreat at Pura Vida Retreat & Spa which usually runs the same time the following year.
If you cancel anytime up to two months prior to the retreat start date, you may also request a refund for your Initial Deposit paid minus a $350 Cancellation Fee.
If you need to cancel anytime within two months of the scheduled retreat start date, you can transfer your Initial Deposit and balance paid to our next scheduled retreat at Pura Vida Spa minus a $350 Cancellation Fee.
In the event of an unforeseen state of emergency and Pura Vida Retreat and Spa is not able to operate and/or our retreat is canceled for some unforeseen reason, 100% of our deposits will transfer to our next scheduled retreat at Pura Vida Retreat and Spa which is usually close to the same time the following year.
